File contains two spiral-bound scores; one is marked "old" and the other is annotated and marked "new score." The work was commissioned by Canada Council and written for Upstream Orchestra, which premiered it in the fall of 2000. The score is written for voice; flute 1; oboe 1; clarinet; bassoon; trumpet; alto sax; tenor sax; baritone sax; bass clarinet; accordion; piano 1; guitar; electric bass; drums; marimba; timpani; violin 1; violin 2; viola; cello; and contrabass.

Item is an annotated score composed by Paul Cram and commissioned by the Canadian Council of Music in 2001. "Convoy HFX" was first performed by an 18-piece Upstream Orchestra in January 2002; in 2006 by the Upstream Ensemble; and in 2013 alongside "The Magic Order" and "Witch Gong Gang II/10" at the International Festival de Musique Actuel in Victoriaville, Quebec. A list of musicians includes: Jeff Reilly, Kenny MacKay, Paul Cram, Steven Naylor, David Burton, Erin Donovan, Tim Crofts, Doug Cameron, Lukas Pearse, Danny Martin, Tom Walsh, Rick Waychesko, Paul Tynan, Tena Palmer, Geordre Haley, and Scott McMillan.

The lefthand pages of the score are predominantly in graphic notation with some standard music notation. They are divided into 13 parts: 1) "Whispers"; 2) "Morse"; 3) "Nausea"; 4) "Storm"; 5) "Attack" followed by a solo; 6) "0400 Hours"; 7; 8; 9; 10; 11; 12. The righthand pages, labelled "13," are in standard notation for different instruments. The file also contains two posters advertising Convoy HFX.

Concerts in historic settings

File contains records about the Heritage Trust's concert series, for which Stephen Pedersen was musical director, including a 1979 annual report of the Heritage Trust; small posters; and a newspaper clipping. There are also notes and a script for An Evening with Adele Hugo in Halifax, and correspondence with Nimbus Publishing about the possibility of a book and cassette series based on the concert series.

File contains parts for Paul Cram's "Irons in the Fire," an 11-minute piece for chamber orchestra commissioned by Symphony Nova Scotia and premiered by Upstream Ensemble in the fall of 1999. Parts include: guitar; tenor sax; solo electric cello; piano; accordion; alto sax; bass clarinet; drums; electric bass; violin 1; violin 2; viola; cello; contrabass; flute 1; flute 2; oboe 1; oboe 2; clarinet 1; clarinet 2; bassoon 1; bassoon 2; trumpet 1; trumpet 2; French horn 1; French horn 2; timpani; and marimba. The parts were copies for a Halifax Grammar School concert or workshop in 2012/2013.

Cello parts from the PCO "Campin Out" tour

File contains cello parts for the Paul Cram Orchestra's second Canadian tour in September 2001 in support of the band’s debut CD on the Victo Label, “Campin Out.” The group played Halifax, Ottawa (National Library of Canada), Guelph (Guelph Jazz Festival), Vancouver (Western Front), and Montreal (Sala Rossa).
