About the Dalhousie University Archives Catalogue and Online Collections

This catalogue provides information about the archival collections available at the Dalhousie University Archives.

Conduct searches using the search bar at the top of the page or browse our holdings by descriptive records, name, subject, or geographic location. Advanced search options are also available.

The University Archives acquires archival material from individuals, families, and organizations across mainland Nova Scotia. The Archives' analog holdings occupy over six kilometres of shelving in the Killam Library. These materials are collected, managed, and preserved to support research, learning, and teaching at Dalhousie University and to provide evidence of the growth and development of Nova Scotia for researchers all over the world.

Most of the archival material described in this site must be viewed on-site in the Archives and Special Collections Reading Room. The University Archives is actively digitizing its holdings.
