The Alumni Association of the Technical University of Nova Scotia was formed in 1920 under president R.R. Murray to promote a feeling of unity and loyalty to the College, and to raise funds for the College. Alumni were represented on the Board of Governors as of 1923. Reunions were held in 1937, 1947, 1959 (50th anniversary celebrations) 1964, 1979, 1984 (diamond jubilee) and 1994. Alumni News was first published in 1945. Alumni branches were established first in Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa, then worldwide.
