Series contains incomplete runs of Dalhousie University Newsletter (1965-1971), University News (1971-1983), Dal News (1983-1989), Dalhousie News (1989-2008) and Dalnews (2008-2010), all of which were former paper iterations of the website Dal News, a service of Communications, Marketing and Creative Services. There are no issues for 2004-2007; individual numbers are missing from some volumes throughout the publications.

Dalhousie University student information cards arranged by student numbers

Series contains student registration cards. The cards contain information about students registered at Dalhousie University between 1968 and the mid-1980s. Cards typically contain information about previous education, year of enrollment, age at enrollment, degree sought, subjects studied and marks received, name(s) of parent or guardian, and home address.

Dalhousie University yearbooks

Series comprises Dalhousie University yearbooks, including Pharos; the College of Pharmacy's Mortar & Pestle and Modo Opimum; Faculty of Law yearbooks; the School of Physiotherapy's Amicus Curia; Dalhousie's former Department of Education yearbooks; and the yearbooks of Nova Scotia Technical College and the Technical University of Nova Scotia.

Dalhousie Vice-Presidency

This series reflects the years and activities by Horace Read as acting Vice-President of Dalhousie University. This series contains mostly correspondence, as well as conference proceedings and honorary citations.

Dalhousie Women's Club photographs

Series includes photographs (some dated and labelled) of DWC members and their families. Occasions represented include a Fiesta Party, the Children's Christmas party (1979 and 1980), Newcomers' Party (1985 and 1986), Winery Field Trip, Fashion Shows, Puppet Building Workshop, DWC Gourmet Club, and several photographs of DWC Puppet Group productions. Most of the binder photographs (Box 3, Folders 19 and 22) pertain to DWC Puppet Group productions.

Damage Done: The Drug War Odyssey/Drug Warrior

Series consists of records documenting the administrative, creative, financial, legal, production, and publicity and marketing activities of this project. Directed by Connie Littlefield, Damage Done was a documentary co-produced with the National Film Board of Canada. It featured interviews with current and former members of law enforcement who disagreed with the way in which the illegal drugs trade was policed and prosecuted. This series contains agreements, applications, budget materials, a crew list, a credit roll, film festival and awards documents, financing schedules, press clippings, a marketing plan, publicity clips, stock footage, interviews, reference materials, and video and audio recordings.

Dartmouth public transit

Series contains material related to the issues pertinent to Dartmouth public transportation. Much of the content in this series is reference material in support of implementing public transportation based on how other cities in Canada used it. In addition, this series contains material on MOVE's involvement in bringing awareness of the need of a public transit system in Dartmouth to the public.

Department of Alumni Affairs

Series consists of records of the Department of Alumni Affairs for the six years prior to amalgamation with Dalhousie. Series includes records from fundraising campaigns, reunions and liaison with current students and alumni. Photographs of alumni events are found in the Public Relations series.

The Alumni Association of the Technical University of Nova Scotia was formed in 1920 under president R.R. Murray to promote a feeling of unity and loyalty to the College, and to raise funds for the College. Alumni were represented on the Board of Governors as of 1923. Reunions were held in 1937, 1947, 1959 (50th anniversary celebrations) 1964, 1979, 1984 (diamond jubilee) and 1994. Alumni News was first published in 1945. Alumni branches were established first in Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa, then worldwide. The Association was governed by an elected Executive Committee and administered by the Department of Alumni Affairs.

Department of English

This series consists of records created by Sprott and the English department at Dalhousie University accumulated by Sprott while he was an English professor. Types of records include meeting minutes, course lists and descriptions, reports and comments on English courses, memos, committee papers and material from events within the department. Diamond Divas Revue posters

Series contains posters for the 5th and 10th anniversary Diamond Divas Revue annual drag shows, held in Moncton, New Brunswick. Diamond Divas revues served as fundraisers for various LGBTQ+ initiatives in the Maritimes.

This series contains diaries kept by Roome during his military career. Diaries were primarily kept during World War One and World War Two, but some entries exist from the interwar years.

Directing records of Jenny Munday

Series contains documents related to theatrical productions directed by Jenny Munday. The documents include directing contracts; programs and other promotional material from the productions; reviews of the productions; greeting cards congratulating Munday for the productions; and other documents.

Dissertation

Series consists of drafts, research, and notes by Graham for his dissertation Provincial-Municipal Fiscal Relations in a Low Income Province: Nova Scotia.

Doc McLelland

Series consists of records documenting the creative activities of this project. The project was a potential television series about a doctor in rural Cape Breton. This series contains a series outline and input.

Series contains materials documenting the work of the various artists that contributed to Rock Meets Bone. Written material includes scripted introductions, conclusions, and handwritten production notes about each episode and artist.

This series includes documents collected by William Inglis Morse. Documents include an appointments of Joseph Howe and Thomas A. Turner, a pension decree from the War Department of the French Republic signed by Napoleon Bonaparte, an inscription to the memory of William Clark, Esq by Samuel Winslow, permits and more.

Dominion Chair Company's photographs

This series contains 115 photographs relating to the Dominion Chair Company. Three of the photos depict the factory during the late nineteenth century. As the factory looks different in each photo, it can be assumed that they were documenting the re-building efforts after each fire. Other photos are primarily catalog shots depicting various types of chairs made by the Company. Photographic materials in this series have been removed to the archives' photographic collection (PC-4).

Donna Morrissey's manuscripts and related records

Series contains paper and electronic records relating to Morrisey's writings and publications. Types of records include manuscripts and drafts of scripts and short stories, illustrations, project proposals, photographs, and other material.
