Costume studies program course materials

This series consists of records relating to courses Doyle taught between 1974 and 1997. Subjects taught include Sewing, Pattern Drafting, and Designers Language. The series contains class schedules, course outlines, supplies lists, class projects, marking systems, Christmas examinations, and various student records.

Counter books

These books are the day-to-day records of activities within the Dominion Chair Company. They include a list of financial transactions arranged chronologically showing a range of financial activity. There are several different kinds including a general book, a 'workmans book', a 'counter book', a 'men's book' (which was probably related to the workman's book) and a 'delivery book.' All are organized the same way but probably with a specific function in mind.

Course Papers of Guy Henson

The series consists of Guy Henson's correspondence and notes pertaining to the School of Public Administration course: "The State and Labour-Management Relations" which Henson taught at Dalhousie University following his retirement as Director of the Institute of Public Affairs.

Crafty Cow

Series consists of records documenting the administrative, creative, financial, legal, production, and publicity and marketing activities of this project. The project was a potential children's animated series starring a bovine detective, introduced in Imagex's The Real Howard Spitz. It was a major initiative for imX. This series contains agreements, an assignment of copyright, biographies, consent documents, correspondence, financial development applications, notes, a one-sheet, research, scripts, schedules, sample images, video and audio recordings, and a website proposal.

Crake Fellow in Drama at Mount Allison University

Series contains documents related to Jenny Munday's time as Crake Fellow in Drama at Mount Allison University. The series includes correspondence, applications, contracts, and other records from the fellowship. The series also includes records from theatre courses taught by Munday at Mount Allison during her fellowship.

Creative records of Upstream Orchestra

Series reflects the various music-making activities of Upstream Ensemble and Upstream Orchestra, specifically those relating to performing, composing, and improvising. Records include those from the musicians’ concerts, tours, workshops, and the Open Waters Festival.

Cultural Federations of Nova Scotia

This series contains records regarding the interactions of the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia with the Cultural Federations of Nova Scotia. Materials include agendas and meeting minutes, committee papers, correspondence, memos, press releases, reports, studies, and other documents.

The Cultural Federations of Nova Scotia (or CFNS) was incorporated in 1977 as an alliance of cultural disciplines. There are eight CFNS member federations: Dance Nova Scotia, Federation of Nova Scotian Heritage, The Multicultural Association of Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Drama League, Nova Scotia Designer Craftsmen, Nova Scotia Choral Federation, Visual Arts Nova Scotia, and the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia.

CFNS was initiated to administer to the physical needs of its members, such as shared office space and equipment. It acts as a broad base of public support for arts and culture.

Culverwell Holdings Limited

Series contains records created by Culverwell Holdings Limited between 1959 and 1983. Some records relate to land owned by Oland's Brewers Grain and Yeast and Lindwood Farms. Series is broken into four Sub-Series: Administrative, Correspondence, Financial, and Maps.

Administrative Sub-Series contains land agreements, property assessments and appraisals of land in Hants and Halifax Counties, and meeting minutes.

Correspondence Sub-Series contains correspondence regarding the sale of land to Clayton Developments Limited and regarding the Oland Family Trusts.

Financial Sub-Series contains financial statements and a general ledger.

Maps Sub-Series contains maps of land in Hants County owned by Culverwell Holdings.

Customer records

This series contains records of Dominion Chair Company's customers. These customers were not limited to the Bass River region or even Nova Scotia - regular clients include ones based in the Maritime Provinces, New England, Great Britain, and the Caribbean. Although there is no comprehensive customer list available, this series provides a glimpse into its various business partnerships. It includes: lists of customers from 1900 and 1931; a list of customers who were audited by the company; lists of orders placed by companies during the period 1892-1944 (note there is not one available for every year in this period).

Dalhousie Alumnae Association

Series contains correspondence regarding administration of the association, subscriptions, information requests and updates, and photograph acquisition requests. Records include minutes of the Executive Council and minutes of semi-annual and annual general meetings.

Dalhousie Faculty Association publications

Series contains copies of the DFA Dialogue, which in 1983 replaced both the Newsletter and Bargaining Unit News with the trifold objective of disseminating routine information to the DFA membership, providing a forum for relevant news, and maintaining a documentary records of matters relating to the Association.

Dalhousie no. 7 stationary hospital

The Dalhousie University No. 7 "Overseas" Stationary Hospital was established in response to the need for qualified medical personnel required to serve in the First World War. It was first mobilized on November 9, 1915 at Dalhousie Medical College in Halifax. Balcom was involved as pharmacist and stock keeper for the second half of the war. In later years he was an active force in keeping the survivors in touch and organising reunion events.

This series is material related to Dr. Murray's Dalhousie committee work it contains interviews related to the history of the Medical School with former faculty, correspondence, proposals for programme and courses and power point presentations.

Dalhousie Review correspondence and related material

series contains incoming and outgoing correspondence, including submissions and letters of acceptance and rejection dating from 1972-1980 written by Allan Bevan as editor of the Dalhousie Review. The series also includes documents relating to Canada Council Grant applications for learned journals funding and records of general operations of the journal.
