Stress, youth and education with Don McGuire

File is an audio reel containing an interview with Don McGuire on stress, youth, and education. Mcguire, along with Wayne Miller and Brigitte Newman, was in the second phase of a research project on perceived stress in adolescents and what normal teenagers worry about. The segment was conducted by CKDU's Donna Mayer. The episode was recorded on August 17, 1987 and was broadcast on August 18, 1987, August 24, 1987, and January 7, 1987 [sic] on Title Waves, a CKDU program.

Stonedgloves - photographs poems Roy Kiyooka

File consists of records related to an exhibition of work by Roy K. Kiyooka (Head of Painting Division, NSCAD University), titled 'StoneDGloves - Photographs, poems by Roy Kiyooka' circulated by the National Gallery of Canada. The exhibition was presented at Dalhousie Art Gallery from January 1-31, 1972. Kiyooka presented a reading event on February 1, 1972 at the Dalhousie Art Gallery as a part of the exhibition.

File contains typed correspondence written by Harry and Doris Steinmetz (San Diego, CA), from 1971 and 1973, sent to Kenneth Leslie. The first letter is a fragment, presumably from early 1971, where Harry laments at the quickness of the passing year and his plans for 1971. The second letter, dated January 29, 1973, celebrates Leslie's poetry upon the Steinmetz' receipt of a copy of 'O'Malley to the Reds', as well as discussion on future talks and publications (and was typed on the verso of a promotional flyer "commemorating 50th anniversary of the foudning of the USSR [and the] 40th anniversary of the American Russian Institute" in San Francisco. The third item is a copy of the December 1972 issue of The Gadfly, which contains an excerpt by Harry Steinmetz entitled "Around the world in 66 days with thanks" about his visit to Volgograd.

Item consists of the text of a statement made by a senior official at Dalhousie University before the Halifax City Council in March 1948, regarding initial proposals around rezoning and development of Morris Street (presently University Avenue) from Robie Street to the Studley Quad.

"The suggestion that I have been authorized to convey to you is that you make a zoning regulation that will restrict new building along the Morris Street boulevard from Robie Street to the Studley Gates to buildings having to do university activities, scientific research, public health and kindred purposes."
