Brien spoke with CKDU's Ken Burke about the strike at the plant in Edmonton, owned by Peter Pocklington, while in Halifax to gain support for a national boycott on Gainers' products. Ken was diagnosed with HIV in January, and shortly after started the "A Feather of Hope" campaign educating indigenous people about AIDS. He visited Halifax to speak with other indigenous groups and to be interviewed for the video "Life After Diagnosis" (People With Aids coalition). The episode was recorded on April 29, 1990, and was broadcasted on May 1, 1990.
