The letter from the Boston Society of Natural History acknowledges receipt of a gift of Nova Scotia minerals from McCulloch. The letter from the Natural History Society of Montreal indicates that McCulloch was elected a corresponding member of the society. The letter from the American Association for the Advancement of Science references an enclosed circular (not included in this file) and requests McCulloch's presence at a meeting.
