Letters received from natural history societies

File contains a letter from the Boston Society of Natural History (dated May 1, 1844), a letter from the Natural History Society of Mnotreal (dated November 10, 1852), and a letter from the Montreal Committee of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (dated July 7, 1857). The letter from the Boston Society of Natural History acknowledges receipt of a gift of Nova Scotia minerals from McCulloch. The letter from the Natural History Society of Montreal indicates that McCulloch was elected a corresponding member of the society. The letter from the American Association for the Advancement of Science references an enclosed circular (not included in this file) and requests McCulloch's presence at a meeting.
