File contains four pages of instructions for use and setting up of the Little Dipper, a ride held by the Bill Lynch Shows, as well as three letter-sized blueprints. The blueprints are for the decorative lighting, sign direction, and station canopy.
File contains a graph of the cross curves of stability of the Bluenose II; a graph of the hydrostatic curves of the Bluenose II; and a top and side view of an unidentified ship, likely the Bluenose II. File contains 2 pages of blackline prints of working designs for a display unit and book cases for the planned Kipling Room in the Killam Library. The drawings include elevations and section details, are stamped "preliminary," numbered S-8 and S-8, and dated 31 March 1969. The Kipling Room ended up remaining in the O.E. Smith wing of the Macdonald Library; it is possible that these furniture plans were used instead for the Morse Room, which was located behind the MacMechan Auditorium.
File contains 11 pages of blueline prints of hand-drawn working designs for Killam Library furnishings, labelled F-100 though F-110, which include initial and revised plans (elevations and section drawings) for: cataloguer and bibliographer's work units; card catalogue units; consultation tables; newspaper storage units; display cases; atlas stands; file tubs; and dictionary stands. Annotations with dates include revisions based on requests by librarians.
File contains 3 pages of blueline prints of floor plans for a library at Dalhousie University, drawn by C.D. Davison & Company, the architectural firm that designed Dalhousie's Student Union Building in 1967. Undated and stamped "preliminary," the plans indicate a library with three floors. The drawings for floors 2 and 3 are annotated with potential seating and/or stack capacity for social sciences, humanities, rare books, graduate students, research and audio visual users, as well as conceptual drawings of study carrels and audio visual booths.
File comprises a set of architectural plans for the Killam Library, undated and labelled 4B REV. Drawings include a site plan, south elevation, and complete set of floor plans. The basement and main floor plans indicate the square footage of each working area (e.g., mechanical, circulation, administration).
File comprises a set of plans for the second, third, fourth and fifth floors of the Killam Library, mounted on presentation board with acetate overlays indicating space usages by reference to an unknown key-plan that includes numbers 1-11.
File contains 14 hand-drawn and coloured design sketches of rooms or areas in the Killam Library, including: main lobby, south; main lobby, north; entrance lobby; circulation desk; corridor; auditorium; exhibition area; special collections; study carrel; administration area; reserve reading area; lounge; staff dining room; and staff lounge. Fabric, wallpaper, carpet and other textile swatches are adhered to the presentation board.
File contains a floor plan and exterior elevations for the MacDonald Library stacks, which show three different window styles for the east facing wall. There are also some early floor plans for the library indicating room appointments and elevations of bookshelves. Drawings are by both Andrew Cobb and Frank Darling.
File contains two complete sets of construction blueprints for the Macdonald Memorial Library (now the Macdonald Building) at Dalhousie University, which was designed by Halifax architect Andrew R. Cobb with consulting architect Frank Darling of Toronto. One set was reproduced from the set of 16 original sheets signed by G.S. Campbell, Chairman of the Board of Governors, and building contractors A.D. Falconer and D. McDonald, all but three of which (nos. 8, 12 and 14) are located in UA-9, Box 1, Folder 1. The other blueprints are marked "set no. 4" and were reproduced before/without the approval signatures. There is also an incomplete set of diazo prints (purple ink on cream paper), as well as a complete set of heating and ventilating blueprints produced by MacMullen, Riley & Durley, Consulting Engineers, and signed by G.S. Campbell and A.D. Falconer and D. McDonald.
File contains drawings by President Arthur Stanley MacKenzie, headed with a note that reads: "My first drafts of Library with narrow front allowing of Extension to footprint size." His drawings show the library as being a long, south-facing building with three floors and plans to extend wings on either side.
File contains the heating plan for the Macdonald Library stack room and second floor, drawn by architect Andrew R. Cobb and Chris Harrington, heating engineer.
File contains a set of four blueprint floor plans for the President's residence at Dalhousie University drawn by H.R. Theakston, University Engineer, in July 1925. The second floor plan indicates furniture placement and the reverse of the third floor plan is covered with handwritten notes and measurements. The file also contains six sheets of floor plans drawn up by Arthur Stanley MacKenzie, who was the first Dalhousie president to live in the house after its purchase by the university in 1925.
File contains original drawings and blueprint copies of plans for an addition to a house owned by Dalhousie at the corner of Coburg and Oxford (possibly 6414 Coburg Road), that appears to have been used as a private residence: drawings include details for pantry and kitchen cupboards and built-in oak bookcases.

"Proposals from Darling for a Science Building" is written at the top of the first floor plan. Cobb's architectural plans for the Science Building, dated March 31, 1913 and signed on June 2, 1913 by building contractors Falconer & McDonald and G.S. Campbell, Chairman of the Board of Governors, Dalhousie College. Drawings include floor plans, exterior and interior elevations and sections; and exterior and interior details. Also included in the folder is a schedule of equipment dated July 28, 1914.
File contains four copies of Andrew R. Cobb's drawings for an extension to the Science Building, which was commissioned by the Board of Governors as part of their building plans during the late 1920s/early 1930s, which also included an Arts Building, gymnasium, power plant, men's dormitory, and extension to Shirreff Hall. The drawings includes basement, ground and second floor plans, and north and west elevations. One copy is in pencil on tissue, two copies are blueprint and one is an electrostatic print set reproduced on polyester.
File contains drawings for entrances and gates on Morris Street, South Street and Coburg Road, and a 1938 blueprint plan for a monument to the Halifax-Castine Expedition, which was never built.

File contains a 1916 Canadian Government Railways and Halifax Ocean Terminal Railway plan showing a proposed bridge for Coburg Road and access to Birchdale; an undated property survey showing existing buildings, including the Birchdale Hotel, Acadia Cottage, a bathing house, boat house and the north and south wharfs; two plans of proposed jetties on the Birchdale property; a floor plan by architect R.A. Johnson showing an addition to "Birchdale," which indicates a large playroom; and a floor plan for "Birchdale Annex" showing eight bedrooms. The annex addition probably dates to ca. 1920, when Birchdale Hotel was purchased by Dalhousie to house students. The file also contains a 1925 blueprint plan of a survey of the Allison Property on the west side of Oxford Street, which was purchased by Dalhousie University to use as the president's residence.
File contains a set of construction drawings by architect Andrew R. Cobb for the Medical Science Laboratory, known as the Medical Science Building, which originally housed the departments of physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology and hygiene. Eventually it became home to School of Pharmacy and was renamed the Burbidge Building. The drawings are labelled Job No. K. 147, Sheet Nos. 1-20, and were drawn and traced by P.K.A. and C.W. Drawing types include a foundation plan, elevations, sections, gas, air, electrical and wiring plans. Framing and footing plans were created in partnership with Pickings & Roland, Engineers. There is also an electrostatic print set reproduced on polyester. Included in the file is an original excavation plan dated August 25, 1921 and a front elevation labelled Dalhousie Medical School.
File contains blueprints of plans for both the Medical School and the Public Health Clinic, including: furnishings detail plans; heating layout floor plans; early sketches; and construction drawings.
File contains Andrew Cobb's rough sketches drawn on pages from a foolscap notebook for the Medical Science Building, including rudimentary elevations and floorplans; a note regarding the necessity of provision for women's lockers and lavatories and the possibility of a medical library; and an overhead drawing of a teaching theatre. File also includes five sheets of 1/16" scale drawings that include basement, first and second floor plans, and longitudinal and cross sections. The pages are all marked: "Please return to A.S.M. (Arthur Stanley Mackenzie)," and the first floor plan also has a note reading: "On S.S. 'Virginian' / July 1st/21."
File contains seven sheets of FSD (full-scale detail) drawings of masonry for details such as cornices, pilaster boxes and string courses, window sills, and mouldings for the Medical Science Laboratory at Dalhousie University.
