Biographical history
Richard Ward was an insurance agent who also enjoyed going to the theatre. He flourished around 1888-1977.
Custodial history
Materials donated to Dalhousie University over the course of several years, including 1977-1980, 1983 and 1993. Prior to that the material was in the custody of Richard Ward's sister Dorothy.
Scope and content
The fonds contains photographs of singers and musical groups, theatrical paraphernelia, and documents regarding the construction of Ward's home on Beaufort Avenue in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as well as other printed material.
