Women of Note performance

File contains one cassette tape recording of performance of the Ottawa-based choral group Women of Note. The group was a predecessor to the Halifax-based group The Secret Furies, and featured three Nova Scotian members, Anne Bishop, Barbara MacDonald, and Pat Brennan. The tape features a performance of the song This is Not a Bingo at the Women's Health Interaction fundraiser in Ottawa on April 1, 1987. The tape also contains recordings of the songs La Andina ; Divide and Rule ; Roly Poly People ; The Spelling Song ; Period Piece ; This is Not a Bingo.

Women and AIDS Project materials

File contains materials related to the Nova Scotia Persons With AIDS Coalition's Women and AIDS project. Materials include correspondence, one pamphlet, meeting minutes, and information about a women's retreat held in Halifax from September 16-18th, 1994.

Wimmin's Words newsletters

File contains three issues of the Wimmin's Words newsletter published in Halifax between November 1982 to February 1983. This file contains two copies of the November 1982 issue.

Wilson Hodder photographs, correspondence, and celebration of life programs

File contains materials related to the life and passing of Wilson Hodder. Hodder was a prominent LGBT activist in Nova Scotia, who successfully petitioned for spousal survivors benefits for same-sex couples under the Canada Pension Plan following the passing of his partner, Terry Martin.

File contains 30 colour photographs taken by Hodder of the 1998 Ottawa Pride parade, three photographs of Hodder and friends, correspondence between Hodder and Mike Sangster, two copies of the program from Hodder's celebration of life, and two program inserts.

Wedding at Safe Harbour Metropolitan Community Church

Series contains photographs of the wedding of two unnamed Australian women at Safe Harbour Metropolitan Community Church, located inside the Bloomfield Centre in Halifax. The women were passengers on an R Family Vacations cruise, organized by Rosie O'Donnell for LGBT partners and their families. They travelled to Halifax specifically to marry, and were some of the first same-sex partners married in Nova Scotia. The wedding was officiated by Safe Harbour pastor, Reverend Darlene Young, and was witnessed by Dr. Brenda Hattie and Young's partner Mun Lei.

Wearable ephemera

Series contains duplicates of wearable ephemera from fonds in the Nova Scotia LGBT Seniors Archive. Materials in series including buttons and pins, badges, medals, clothing, and other regalia related to or worn during Halifax Pride parades, political demonstrations organized by Lesbian and Gay Rights Nova Scotia [LGRNS] and other groups, Mr. Atlantic Canada Leather [M.A.C. Leather] contests, and other LGBT causes and events.
