This series contains manuscript and typescript lectures and addresses given by Roome at locations across Canada, including the Royal Military College in Kingston and the Canadian Officers' Training Corps (COTC). Topics include the campaign in Mesopotamia, military leadership, and the American Civil War.

Series consists of materials created and/or accumulated by Catherine (Murray) Creighton, including her diaries, correspondence, financial papers, and a variety of personal papers. Frank Parker Day photographs

Series contains photographs that span the greater portion of Day's life. Materials include photographs depicting his time in university, his time served during World War One, and his time as President of Union College. Series also contains many photographs of the Day family and their friends.

Addresses & speeches by Melville Cumming

Series contains speeches and addresses written and delivered by Dr. Melville Cumming at events between 1918-1957. Many of these occurred at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College to graduating students and commemorating NSAC's anniversary.

Financial Papers of Clauda, Louise and Olive Smith

The financial papers in this series range in content from Municipal tax bills and receipts to income tax forms. Tax forms cover a span from 1918 to 1943. There are a number of cash-memo notebooks listing household expenses (amount paid for fish, bread, etc). Several finance notebooks listing money coming in and going out of various committees are also included.

Programs and other materials regarding the Nova Scotia Fisheries Exhibition

Series consists of records pertaining to the company's involvement in the Nova Scotia Fisheries Exhibition. The exhibition was held annually in Lunenburg, and Powers Brothers was part of the committee responsible for organizing prizes and programs for the event for each year represented in this series. The records include correspondence, lists of donations, lists of prizes, lists of prize-winners, and statements of profits and losses.

Ellen Ballon's correspondence

Series contains incoming correspondence sent to Ellen Ballon as well as ephemeral correspondence of European composers and classical music performers that was collected by Ellen Ballon.

Scholastic records

Series contains both the harmony workbooks created by Ellen Ballon during her early schooling as well as certificate letters issued from McGill University regarding her honorary degree and the scholarship program she instigated.

Non business papers

This series consists of records donated with the Acadian Supplies Company fonds but are not directly related to the business. Types of records include church papers for the Parish of Saint John in Lunenburg and the LaHave United Church, correspondence by Lunenburg Mayor Douglas Adams, and records belonging to the Lunenburg Curling Club and the Lunenburg Yacht Club.

Pharmacy

The records in this subseries all relate to Balcom's career pharmacist whether pertaining to the operations of his pharmacy or the professional pharmacy organisations to which he belonged.

Personal papers from Dalhousie University

Series consists of Dalhousie Review correspondence and articles organized chronologically within alphabetical ranges of surnames (1951-53). Series also includes correspondence and a photo from Nora Murray, Dalhousie University Graduate Studies and Senate correspondence (1951-57), papers and exams of Dalhousie students (1925-56), and notes of professors of various English courses. It also includes the engraver's plate from the invitation to the Dalhousie University convocation, 1958.

M/V "O.K. Service VI"

Series contains the financial and vessel papers of the M/V "O.K. Service VI." Contents of the series include monthly financial statements, Captain's daily logbooks, a sample of engine room logs, bills of lading, manifests and freight lists, certificates of damage, notarized statements, insurance policies, and other documents created during voyages to ports in the Caribbean and Central and South America.

Manuscripts of Roscoe Alfred Fillmore

Series consists of non-fiction, fiction, and poetry manuscripts and typescripts written by Roscoe Fillmore. It also contains a published copy of The Growing Question, a gardening book published by Fillmore in 1957.

W.J. Roué's correspondence

Series contains primarily correspondence to W.J. Roue from his clients and with shipbuilders. Most files contain incoming correspondence from named individuals; others contain miscellaneous correspondence arranged alphabetically.

Musical scores

Series contains musical scores collected and used by Ellen Ballon. The scores include several first editions of popular works by Mozart and Chopin, and various autograph manuscript scores, including Heitor Villa-Lobos' first piano concerto, which was written for Ellen Ballon. All of the works are for piano or piano and orchestra.

Fish and bacteria research files

Series contains records relating to Hayes' research on fish and bacteria in freshwater systems. Research data was gathered on trips to lakes in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and all five of the Great Lakes. Hayes published a number of papers based on this research data.

Frederick Waldemar Walsh photographs

Series contains Dr. Frederick Waldemar (Waldo) Walsh photographs from different events such as conferences, retirement gatherings, and schools taken and collected between 1910-1963. Other photographs were taken and collected by Waldo Walsh of Nova Scotia Boy's and Girls Clubs in the early 1920s when Walsh was a professor of Animal Husbandry [at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College] and sheep and swine promoter. Places include Mabou, Pictou county, Annapolis (Lawrencetown) and Yarmouth; Lottie Austin and some Beaton's and Rankins may be in the Mabou pictures .
