Biographical history
Harry Brown was from Pugwash, Nova Scotia. Brown Eleanor Moore in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia in 1923. Brown was Secretary-Treasurer for the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture from 1926 until 1938. He was a farmer and one of the first directors of the Nova Scotia Wool Marketing Board in 1947.
Custodial history
Records were donated to the Agricola Archives in two accessions, by Harry Brown's daughter, Betty Brown on June 6, 2007 and another unknown date.
Scope and content
Fonds contains records created and collected by Harry Brown related to sheep in Nova Scotia and Canada. There are two series', one in the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers Limited, and the second includes records related to the exhibition and breeding of sheep, and Nova Scotia Sheep Breeders Association records. Records are meeting minutes, financial records, correspondence, and memorandums.
