Research of David Braybrooke

Series contains draft manuscripts and notes; bibliographies; research-related grant applications; newspaper and magazine clippings, offprints of journal articles, and other printed material; a scrapbook of articles related to business ethics; notes from interviews; correspondence with colleagues regarding research; notes on works read for Dalhousie Philosophy Department summer reading groups; information on research grants; material related to the hiring of a research assistant; and correspondence related to and notes from lectures attended during Braybrooke's sabbatical to Oxford University. Research topics include the Vagueness Project, work for the committee on the study of political behavior, and utilitarianism, among other diverse subjects.

Series consists of writings and research by Godfrey on topics of interest such as French and world history, art, and the prison system. Types of records include notes, correspondence, journal articles, an essay by Godfrey on Nationalism, an audio reel of a lawyers’ conference, and a videocassette.

Series contains records produced in the course of Jill Grant’s research activity, and includes research applications and reports, research ethics applications and reports, correspondence, notebooks, working papers,slides and print photographs, research data (interviews and surveys) and participant consent forms. Series is divided into subseries by project titles.

Resource and reference material

While MOVE was active, the organization served as a reference and resource library which contained publications by activist groups across Canada, as well as the publications from MOVE's coalition member groups, which this series contains. In addition, the resource and reference material contains articles, instructional material (such as funding kits), bills and ordinances, newspaper clippings on current issues and MOVE, and informational material on pressing concerns such as environment, civil rights, women's' rights, poverty, housing, rent control, and nuclear energy.

Resource centre library of the Ecology Action Centre

Series consists of reference material from the Ecology Action Centre's resource centre library. Series includes books, pamphlets, newsletters, fact sheets and similar types of reference material created and collected by the Ecology Action Centre. Materials cover subjects such as parks and green spaces, species at risk, pesticide spraying, climate change, pollution, composting, recycling, and energy sources including nuclear, tidal power, oil, and gas.

Series consists of information relating to retail pharmacies throughout Canada, although most of the information is about Nova Scotian retail pharmacies. Records include biographical materials, financial records, advertisements, and other materials related to retail pharmacies.

Reverend Robert Murray's records

Series consists of Reverend Robert Murray's correspondence and records regarding his involvement with the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes and his participation in a farewell dinner on the R.M.S. Aurania.

Reviews and promotional material

Series contains newspaper clippings, printouts from websites, and publisher's catalogues that feature reviews and promotional material about Budge Wilson's books. The series also contains drafts of press releases written by Budge Wilson to promote her books and newspaper articles that feature Budge Wilson and her writing career.

Rilla-my-Rilla

Series contains records for a play manuscript by Catherine Banks based on L.M. Montgomery's Rilla of Ingleside.

Rita MacNeil in Japan

Series consists of records documenting the production and publicity and marketing activities of this project. The project is a documentary which follows Rita MacNeil touring and performing in Japan in 1985. Chris Zimmer's first production was produced for the CBC. It was directed by Lulu Keating and written by Chris Zimmer. This series contains a two-sheeter and video recordings.

Robert Logan's photographs

This series consists of the photographs, negatives, and positives Robert A. Logan has kept or taken during the course of his life. Topics include surveying, northern exploration, Prisoner of War experiences, naval expeditions, and Nova Scotia.

Rocky Jones on Racism

Series contains audio reels from the CKDU radio 88.1 two-part program Rocky Jones on Racism. It features Burnley (Rocky) Jones, a Halifax lawyer, human rights activist, and prisoners rights advocate who fought for the defeat of racism. Jones earned his law degree from Dalhousie University in the 1990s.

Ron O'Dor's administrative correspondence and records

Series comprises Ron O'Dor's administrative correspondence, reports and other records related to his teaching, committee work and research roles within and external to Dalhousie University, and to his roles as head of the Department of Biology and director of the Aquatron facility. Records related directly to his teaching are largely found in the teaching records series, while most correspondence related to named research projects is found within the related series or subseries.

Ron O'Dor's career research records

Series contains correspondence, field notes, meeting minutes, presentation slides, and photographs related to Ron O'Dor's early-career research into cephalopoda behaviour, feeding practices of bivalve larvae in zero gravity environments, and other mollusca and marine biology projects.
