Wayves

Subseries contains duplicate issues of Wayves Magazine. Wayves was initially published beginning in 1983 as the newsletter for the Gay and Lesbian Association of Nova Scotia, under the name Gaezette. The magazine adopted the name Wayves in 1995 and continued to print content intended to inform and support lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgendered people throughout Atlantic Canada until the print edition ended in 2012.

Walsh photographs of Nova Scotia Boy's and Girls Clubs and sheep and swine promotion

Subseries contains photographs taken and collected by Waldo Walsh of Nova Scotia Boy's and Girls Clubs in the early 1920s when Walsh was a professor of Animal Husbandry [at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College] and sheep and swine promoter. Subjects include Mabou, Pictou county, Annapolis (Lawrencetown) and Yarmouth. Lottie Austin and some Beaton's and Rankins may be in the Mabou pictures.

Video Workshops

This sub-series contains materials regarding Centre for Art Tapes video workshops. Records include workshop materials, correspondence and workshop descriptions.

Video Scholarship

This sub-series contains materials regarding the Centre for Art Tapes Video Scholarship, wherein participants received an honorarium, access to equipment and facilities, workshop instruction and a premiere of the final work. Records include applications, correspondence, signed and unsigned contracts, graphic materials and lists of recipients’ equipment use.

Vessel operations

Subseries consists of all operational records created and collected by the Association relating to vessel and fisheries issues, including safety regulations, navigational aids, surveillance of foreign vessels, and subsidies and grants for constructing vessels. Types of records include correspondence, notes, discussion papers, photographs, proposals, trip reports, meeting minutes, and submissions by the Association to the Right Honourable Roméo LeBlanc.
