It was also used as a notebook, with miscellaneous notes entered until 1976. Fonds also contains a letter to Mrs. Vernon Simpson (Olive Eliza Simpson) from Robert H. Winters, Ottawa, November 30, 1953. The letter is a reply to Mrs. Simpson's letter about changes to mail delievery in Simpson's Corner, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. The file with the letter also contains an order form from Veribest Speciality Company and two copies of handwritten minutes of a Community Club meeting held on November 15, 1951.

The financial administration of the Symphony is documented though budgets, statements, ledgers, and tickets sales data.

The fonds also contains concert programs and promotional material such as posters, advertisements, flyers, newsletters, and other publications. The final section of the fonds consists of audiovisual and graphic material. There are audio recordings of performances and interviews of Symphony personnel as well as video recordings of advertisements and performances. Collection includes team photographs. Wanderers Grounds was a sporting complex in Halifax, Nova Scotia, which was originally part of the Halifax Commons. The land was used in the 1880s by the Halifax Wanderers Amateur Athletic Club (WAAC) and was their home grounds for the sports of rugby and lawn bowling. Leased to the club in the 1800s, the club failed to pay its lease fees during the Second World War and the land's use reverted to the City of Halifax (Halifax Regional Municipality) who have maintained it since then.
