Manpower muddle

Item is a videocassette of a guest lecture that was part of the Friday at Four lecture series. The lecturer is not identified; however, at the time of the lecture, he was a thirty-year professor of epidemiology at Dalhousie University. The Friday at Four series was sponsored and organized by the Dalhousie Medical School and focused on a variety of subjects by lecturers invited to speak about specialized areas of medicine. The lectures were held each Friday by the School from the 1970s to the 1990s. This particular lecture was sponsored by the Division of Continuing Medical Education. The video was requested by Dr. Putnam from the Division of Continuing Medical Education.

File consists of an exhibition catalogue for 'Mansaram Panchal' organized and circulated by the Art Gallery, Memorial University, through the Atlantic Provinces Art Circuit. The exhibition was to be presented at Dalhousie Art Gallery in March 1972, however it was not mounted due to receiving the artworks too late.

File consists of records related to the exhibition, 'Mansaram Panchal' organized and circulated by the Art Gallery, Memorial University through the Atlantic Provinces Art Circuit. The exhibition was meant to be presented at Dalhousie Art Gallery in March 1972, however it was not mounted due to time constraints resulting from receiving the artworks by mail too late in the exhibition period.

Manuscript - Last days of Jacob Street

File contains a draft manuscript written likely in the early-1970s (definitely after 1967) by William F. Dawson, about the area around Jacob Street in downtown Halifax, bulldozed to make way for the Scotia Square project (the Jacob Street area was deemed a waterfront slum). The manuscript discusses the parallels between the demolition of Jacob Street and that of Africville.

March 11, 1971 inaugural exhibition Dalhousie art gallery - arts center

File consists of records related to organizing artworks and exhibitions to be shown at the Dalhousie Art Gallery during March 1971, to coincide with the Dalhousie Art Gallery official opening at it's current home in the then newly built Dalhousie Art Centre.

It was later broadcasted on Two New Hours on CBC. SOCAN copyright 1993. The container label notes the work is for flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano sax, trumpet, piano, guitar, bass, and drums.
