Item consists of a press release prepared by Carleton Stanley and submitted to the Halifax Herald and Halifax Chronicle on January 23, 1933, outlining the Carnegie Corporation's creation of a $125,000 endowment for Geology at Dalhousie, following up on several previous substantial monetary donations.

Item is a notebook that contains Douglas's handwritten draft of his preliminary report on clays of Antigonosh, which includes a draft cover letter to Dr. A.R. Cameron, Minister of Mines.

Slides of northern rocks, flowers, and carvings

File contains 40 slides of photographs taken by Rosemary Gilliat during a trip to the eastern Canadian Arctic with Barbara Hinds in 1960. The photographs were taken in Cape Dorset, George River (Kangiqsualujjuaq), Port Burwell (Killiniq), and other locations in the eastern Canadian Arctic. The location of many of the photographs is not indicated. The slides show rock formations, vegetation on the tundra, Inuit sculptures, and other Inuit handicrafts.
