Correspondence from Owen Bell Jones to MacMechan, September 16, 1915

Item consists of handwritten correspondence sent from Owen Bell Jones to Archibald MacMechan, dated September 16, 1915, at Valcartier Camp (Quebec City), thanking MacMechan for further outfitting of the Camp's library, general anxiousness around Camp, and the hopes of the Battalion soon being deployed to England.

E.B. Rogers's article about the William Inglis Morse Collection

Item consists of Carleton Stanley's typescript copy of an article written by E.B. Rogers (at the behest of C.L. Bennet) submitted to the Halifax Chronicle, discussing a substantial donation of a "valuable collection of books" by William Inglis Morse, which would make up the basis of the William Inglis Morse Collection at the Dalhousie Library. Article is dated January 23, 1933.

Sodhi – Chief Librarian – MacRae Library, and (2) Professor Peter Sanger, professor and acting archivist of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, taken from NSAC yearbooks over the years and during Open House in 1987.

Item is sheet no. 6 of 16 construction drawings of the Macdonald Memorial Library (now the Macdonald Building) at Dalhousie University, as well as 3/4" scale details of the Reading Room mantels and fireplaces. The drawing has the (approval?) signatures of G.S. Campbell, Chairman of the Board of Governors, and building contractors A.D. Falconer and D. McDonald.
