File contains correspondence and a postcard sent between Thomas H. Raddall and Donald C. MacKay dating from 1946 to 1953 and 1970. One letter includes a drawing by D.C. MacKay depicting a Sable Island lighthouse keeper on horseback.
Item, a photograph, is related to material in Thomas Head Raddall's photograph album, 1917-1927. There is a note to Ellen Raddall from her husband, T.H. Raddall, Sr., on the reverse side. Raddall, Sr. marked his position in the parade on the front with an x: he is the fifth from the left in the foremost line, wearing a long, dark overcoat that nearly reaches his ankles.

Item is a photograph of the Elmwood Hotel, which was originally a mansion built by Joshua Newton, who was the son-in-law of Simeon Perkins. The Perkins house is on the left, though it is not visible. In about 1942, the hotel was purchased by the Canadian Navy, and was used during WWII as a living quarters and offices for naval personnel whose ships were undergoing refit at the Thompson Machinery Co. Ltd. plant. After the war ended in 1949, the hotel was torn down, and the site became the lawn in front of the artillery training quarters.
