File contains photographs of Nova Scotia Agricultural College students and faculty. Photographs were taken within buildings (laboratories, barns, library, machinery shed, and mess hall), and outdoors on campus at various spaces including farm yard, residences, and fields. These were taken approximately in the 1960's and 1970's

William Townsend September 1972

File consists of records relating to the Exhibition of William Townsend Paintings 1964-1968 organized by Dalhousie Art Gallery for circulating through A. P. A. C. 1972-1973.

Records consist mainly of correspondence of Ernest Smith (Director, Dalhousie Art Gallery) and handwritten letters from William Townsend and Charlotte Townsend (the daughter of William Townsend). Additional records include shipping receipts, insurance certificates, newspaper clippings, a photograph of the painting 'Cascade VIII' and condition reports.

File contains 7 photographs of C.A. Douglas' retirement. They are all stamped "Photo by Pridham Studio, Truro, N.S.". Charles Douglas was Deputy Minister of the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing. Douglas also served as Assistant Agricultural Representative in Pictou, Agricultural Representative in Hants County, Assistant Director and, later, Director of Extension, and as Director of Livestock. There are 4 sets of negatives, they include people sitting at tables outdoors around a field in 1970s era clothing, people watching a marching pipes and drum band, some of the photographs feature the campus barn and silos in background, one shows Clydesdale horses pulling a wagon with approx. 8 people seated.

Photographs of a chicken barbeque on the Nova Scotia Agricultural College campus taken around 1950

File contains photographs of a chicken barbeque event on the Nova Scotia Agricultural College Campus. The first such event was held on July 2, 1951, followed by barbeques in 1952. 1953 and 1954 with 3000 to 5000 people in attendance. The barbeques were sponsored by the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing and the Nova Scotia Farmers' Association to promote the newly expanding broiler chicken industry.
