Reid to the March 1858 issue of The Medical Chronicle (Montreal monthly journal of medicine & surgery) (Vol. 5, No. 10), dated February 1st, 1858, discussing treatment of an otherwise healthy young man who is "[an] almost unique [case of being] deficient of a sternum".
