Collection comprises legal business correspondence, a book of legal judgment abstracts, indentures documenting Lunenburg County land sales, and papers regarding claims upon the wreck of two schooners.
File contains newspaper clippings and printouts from websites. Included are obituaries from the Chronicle Herald, The Lunenburg County Progress Bulletin, Globe and Mail, The Canadian Press, and Toronto News.
File includes a letter to children's author Claire MacKay and copies of publications that include stories by Joyce Barkhouse, including Hi Venture magazine and the Canadian Children's Literature journal. The file also includes photographs of Blomidon, King's County, Nova Scotia and the Town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, in addition to copies of poems, birthday invitations, an edited biography of Joyce Barkhouse from the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia website, and family history documents.
File contains three drafts of Budge Wilson's speech (two handwritten, one typescript). The file also contains correspondence from the Royal Canadian Legion, F.E. Butler Branch 44 of Chester, Nova Scotia regarding the ceremony and two tentative programs for morning.
Fonds consists of Oscar Donovan's photographs, newspaper clippings, mementos, and correspondence from World War One and World War Two, including records related to Dalhousie No. 7 Overseas Stationary Hospital, with which his wife served.
File also includes "An Assessment of the Town of Bridgewater Police Department .... conducted by Arthur D. Wyatt"; "Policy and Procedures High Speed Pursuit"; and notes.
Fonds includes a ledger of merchant and vessel accounts (1911-1930), later used by Barkman and Ritcey to track coal accounts (1940-1943); miscellaneous correspondence, invoices and vessels statements (1914-1930); and George P. Zink's estate papers (1878-1898).
This fonds consists of records created and collected by both the Canadian Puppet Festival and the Chester Theatre Council related to the management of the Chester Playhouse, including financial records such as statements, budgets, balance sheets, and invoices; press releases; photocopies of reviews; advertising and marketing records; personnel files; construction and maintenance records; meeting minutes and agendas; reports such as attendance records and box office sales; grant applications and fundraising files; correspondence; and event files, including programmes, tickets, and other promotional materials.
File contains an alphabetical file of correspondence between Himmelman Supply Company and correspondents with names beginning with X, Y, or Z. Correspondents include the Yarmouth-Boston Freight Service, James. N. Young, Young's Marine Electronic Service, and Zwicker and Company.
Item is a drawing of the Bluenose II in full sail, with measurements for all of the sails. The drawing also includes notes about the measurements for the masts, boom, and other components. The drawing was prepared by Smith & Rhuland Ltd. of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
File contains two copies of a drawing of the interior of the Bluenose II by Smith & Rhuland Ltd. The drawing includes a floor plan as well as a cross-section view of the interior, with labels and measurements.
Item is a map showing a survey of Provincial Water Grant No. 20618, in the Back Harbour of Chester, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The surveys were conducted on June 10th and 11th, 1954 by Errol B. Hebb of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. The map shows the shoreline along Shore Road, including wharves and lots currently or formerly owned by Clarissa Gibbs, James M. Allen, Andrew Anderson, C. Orchiltree MacDonald, E. R. Paxton, Elizabeth Allen, Verginia M. Allen, Mary L. Ritchie, Florence B. McCurdy, and William F. Bryans. There is also a small map of the Chester area inset in the upper left corner of the drawing.
The La Have Outfitting Company fonds contains mainly financial records related to their business of outfitting and supplying vessels, as well as sales of fish, coal and salt between the years of 1905-1976. These records include invoices cash books, fish sales, journals, ledgers, vessel supply lists, accounts and lists of vessels that were insured by La Have Outfitting, as well as loans they had given out. The fonds also contains some general business correspondence, legal documents regarding insurance policies and shareholders information as well as documents relating to vessels, such as charter contracts, log books and register of vessels.
Fonds contains records relating to Susan Kerslake's writing and personal life, including manuscripts of published and unpublished work; correspondence, early writing and schoolwork, photographs, awards, articles and books reviews, and materials from events she attended.
Fonds consists of legal papers and correspondence related to John W. Mill's administration of charitable funds for the poor in Mahone Bay and surrounding areas.
