File contains photographs of the exterior of the Forrest Building at Dalhousie University. The photographs were taken at various different times during the building's history. Two of the photographs come from nitrate negatives that were scanned and destroyed.
File contains the program and texts from the songs of "The Flower Queen" or "The Coronation of the Rose: A Cantata in Two Acts" by George F. Root, which was presented at Orpheus Hall on September 13 and 14, 1887. The performances featured Miss. B. Lownds, Mr. King Pooley, Mr. C.J. Ross, Mr. J.R. Forbes, Miss. Taylor, Miss. E. Pickford, Miss. H. Gossip, Miss. E. Wier, Miss. B. Salter, Miss. M. Partridge, Miss. Forbes, Miss. G. Taylor, Miss. Ward, Miss. G. Smithers, and Miss. A. Nichols.
Files contains Frank McMahon's registration tickets for the Halifax Medical College (Dalhousie College and University Medical Faculty) and his attendance/examination cards for Anatomy, Materia Medica, Practical Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Botany, and Chemistry. The cards are printed on coloured heavy card and are held in a small black leather-bound folder. Cards are variously signed by John Forrest, A.W.H. Lindsay, D.A. Campbell, Arthur Morrow, John Somers, George L. Sinclair, and others. The back of one card contains a note from A.W.H. Lindsay about dissections.

(Professor of Modern Languages, 1865-1906); Rev. William Lyall, LL.D. (Professor of Logic and Psychology 1863-90); Charles Macdonald, M.A. (Professor of Mathematics, 1863-1901); James Seth, M.A. (Professor of Philosophy, 1886-92); Rev. John Forrest, D.D. (Third President, 1885-1911); Archibald MacMechan, B.A., Ph.D., LL.D., F.R.S.C. (Professor of English, 1889-1932); John Johnson, M.A., LL.D. (Professor of Classics, 1863-94); W. J. Alexander, Ph.D. (Professor of English, 1884-1889); J. Gordon MacGregor, D.Sc., F.R.S. (Professor of Physics, 1879-1901); and George Lawson, Ph.D. (Professor of Chemistry, 1863-95) arranged in three rows on a plain background. The photograph was a gift from Dr. F. J. A. McKitrick on February 2, 1951. The item is a later copy of the original photograph.
File consists of a plumber's estimate for installation of fixtures and plumbing at St. Patrick's Girls School and Dumaresq's notes regarding alterations, probably for the same project.
