Gaezette

Subseries contains duplicate issues of Gaezette, a publication which was originally published as the newsletter for the Gay Alliance for Equality. It was published by a non-profit collective between 1984-1995, when it changed its name to Wayves. It existed to inform lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people across Atlantic Canada of activities in their communities, and to promote those activities and support their aims and objectives.

Morton House property deeds and operating documents

Subseries contains documents relating to the operation of Morton House, a residence and hospice in Halifax operated by CARAS for persons living with HIV/AIDS. Morton House was established in 1988 and closed in the early 2000s.

AIDS-Link records

Series contains materials related to AIDS-LINK, a volunteer-based project operated by CARAS to institute interfaith pastoral services for persons living with HIV/AIDS. The project was launched in 1996 and ceased operations in the early 2000s.

Subseries contains materials documenting the activities of the TightRope leather brotherhood, a men's leather club established in Halifax in the early 1990s, incorporated in 1997, and disbanded in 2007. Subseries contains administrative and financial records, planning and promotional materials, correspondence, printouts from TightRope's website, and photographs of TightRope members and events.

Brock University : The Rover

Subseries contains 24 costume designs and two posters related to Brock University's 2002 production of The Rover by Aphra Behn. The production took place February 14-16, 2002 at the Sean O'Sullivan Theatre and was presented by the Theatre, Dramatic Literature & Drama in Education program at Brock University.

Subseries contains materials collected for reference and educational use by GayLine volunteers. Subjects covered include homosexuality and coming out, sexual heath and AIDS prevention, alcoholism and substance abuse, abuse in LGBT relationships, parenting, discrimination, legal rights, and women's issues. Materials include pamphlets, flyers, newsletters, essays, and correspondence.

Posters and acetate negatives for events at Rumours

Series contains paper posters and acetate negatives of posters for events held at Rumours, a bar owned and operated by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance [GALA], located in Halifax. Events include dances, stage shows, Pride events, and meetings associated with GALA operations.

Series contains banners and flags produced by members of the Gay and Lesbian Association for use in Pride marches, GALA meetings, and other political demonstrations in Nova Scotia.

Red Deer College : The Bundle

Sub-series comprises seven watercolour costume sketches, rendered on light-weight paper, for Red Deer College's production of Edward Bond's The Bundle, or New Narrow Road To The Deep North. Some of the watercolours have measurement sheets attached.

Dalhousie Theatre : Spring Awakening

File contains four drawings and six photocopies of costume designs for Dalhousie Theatre's 1977 production of Spring Awakening. Several of the items have fabric swatches attached.

Dalhousie Theatre : The Rivals

File contains fifteen watercolour sketches of costume designs for Dalhousie Theatre's 1982 production of The Rivals. All sketches are mounted with a plastic cover in a dark red mat.

Files contains six set designs and 27 costume designs for Dalhousie Theatre's 1984 production of Grease. Photocopies of several of the costume designs are included and three of the costume designs are only present in photocopy form. Some of the costume designs have fabric swatches attached. Four envelopes of fabric swatches are also included.

File contains photocopies of eleven costume designs from Dalhousie Theatre's 1983 production of The Sea. One of the costume designs has fabric swatches attached to it.

File contains two costume designs for Dalhousie Theatre's 1984 production of Rose. The designs are drawn in pencil on grey card.

Dalhousie Theatre : Happy End

File contains 17 costume designs for Dalhousie Theatre's 1989 production of Happy End. The sketches have all been torn into irregular shapes, mounted on corrugated cardboard, and spray painted with a brick pattern.

Dalhousie Theatre : Love for Love

File contains fifteen watercolour sketches of costume designs for Dalhousie Theatre's 1989 production of Love for Love. Each sketch shows one character wearing their costume. The sketches are all cut out and mounted on dark orange matboards. Most of the sketches have a clear plastic sheet taped over them for protection.

Dalhousie Theatre : Shakespeare's Women

File contains 26 costume designs from Dalhousie Theatre's 1990 production of Shakespeare's Women. Six of them are watercolour sketches and the rest are pencil sketches. The file also contains two photocopies of one of the sketches and three pages of notes about the sketches. The first 18 sketches were drawn on the same pad of paper and are stored between the covers of that pad of paper. There are some drawings on the cover of the pad of paper. Some of the sketches have fabric swatches attached.
