Lindwood Farms Sub-Series contains records relating to the operation and management of Lindwood Farms and Northfield Farms. Records were primarily created after the sale of the farms to Oland's Brewers Grain and Yeast, but some earlier records are extant. Sub-series contains a blueprint of a farm building and a map of Halifax with the farm property outlined, correspondence regarding cattle, fairs and exhibitions, and the general activities of the Farm, inventories of cattle, feed analyses, documentation on farm procedures, appraisals of land and cattle, meeting minutes, and other records relating to the general operation and administration of the Farm. Sub-Series also contains financial statements, statements of expenses, sales reports, a journal, deeds to farm land and a copy of an expropriation agreement with the Province of Nova Scotia.

Photograph Sub-Series contains photographs from the Atlantic Winter Fair and from Northfield Farm in Kennecook, Nova Scotia.

Marketing and Advertising subseries contains two pamphlets titled "Valuable information on the use of Oland's Brewers Grain and Yeast." Additional marketing and advertising materials that relate to Oland's Brewers Grain and Yeast and other subsidiaries of Oland and Son Limited are filed in the Marketing and Advertising subseries of Oland and Son Limited.

Production and Inventory Reports subseries contains monthly production reports and inventory reports of grain and yeast.

Manual (Plant Manager) and other correspondence mixed in the business papers of the company. Correspondence before 1958 is primarily from Red Ball Brewery.

Financial Sub-series contains financial statements, a general ledger from Simeon Jones Brewery, detailed cost statements of beer produced, balance sheets, and a sample of share certificates. Some of the financial figures of the company were reported in consolidated financial statements of Oland and Son Limited, A. Keith and Son Limited, and Olands Brewery Limited. These statements are filed in the Financial subseries of Oland and Son Limited. Labour and Employee Relations Sub-series contains meeting minutes from the labour management committee, pension plan certificates, lists of withdrawals from the employees' pension plan, reviews of the employees' pension plan, and draft and published labour agreements between Olands Brewery Limited and Local 364 of the International Union of United Brewery, Flour, Cereal, Soft Drink, and Distillery Workers of America.

Legal Sub-series contains a memorandum of agreement and stock book, share transfers, patent certificates, indebtures, mortgage agreements, and real estate agreements.

Marketing and Advertising subseries contains some correspondence about advertising , a proposal prepared by Backman Advertising, sample beer bottle labels, and an advertising poster for a shuffleboard tournament. Advertising and marketing records relating to general Olands products and advertising campaigns are filed in the Marketing and Advertising subseries of Oland and Son Limited.

Photographs subseries consists of four photographs, 1 of the original Army and Navy Brewery in Halifax, Nova Scotia and three prints of David L. Cashen for his appointment as marketing manager.

Sales Department subseries consists of monthly and weekly sales reports and bulletins, reports on deliveries to New Brunswick Liquor Commission stores, statistical reports, and copies of sales reports sent to the Brewers Association of Canada.

Correspondents include Oland and Son's barristers and solicitors, contractors, consultants, government departments, sales agents, manufacturers, charities, and other groups who corresponded with the company. Sub-Series also contains personal correspondence of Robert T. Merchant, R.D. Mussett, and Bruce Oland. Correspondence is generally filed by the name of the correspondent, except where the original file was labelled by subject.
