Item consists of correspondence submitted by A.P. Reid to the April 1903 issue of Maritime Medical News (Vol. XV, No. 4) on the topic of a leper hospital in St. Jago de la Vega, Jamaica. Correspondence is dated February 28th, 1903.
Item is a report on the Nova Scotia Hospital for the Insane by Alexa Bagnell. Dr. TJ. Murray was Alexa's Supervisor on the report. Alexa Bagnell was the Hannah Institute Summer studentship in 1994.
Item is a quote from the Halifax Herald from 1931 about the construction of the Halifax Infirmary. Quote says: Halifax Herald. January 1, 1931 / "new Million Dollar Hospital for Halifax". The above is / the new Million Dollar Fireproof Hospital to be erected in / Halifax in 1931 by the Sisters of Charity, which when / finished will be one of the most modern and best / equipped hospitals on the continent... The hospital will / be erected on Queen Street and S.P. Dumaresq, who / designed i will supervise its construction told The / Herald yesterday, that the Hospital will contain features / never before attempted in Hospital construction on this / continent."
Item consists of a clipping collected by Florence Jessie Murray, titled "Doctor in Korea," written by Nathaniel Benson, drawn from the January 1956 issue of Varsity Graduate, documenting University of Toronto graduate Oliver Avison's contributions to Severance Hospital.
File contains a brochure with a brief history of the Dalhousie No. 7 Stationary Hospital, a nominal role of its staff, transcriptions of letters and lists of staff transferred in and out of the hospital.
File contains correspondence sent by Florence Jessie Murray to Alexander and Esther Murray, between 1922 and 1968 (though predominantly between 1946 and 1955).
