Photographs of the Killam Memorial Library construction

File contains photographs of the construction of the Killam Memorial Library at Dalhousie University in 1968 and 1969. The photographs show the construction site from different perspectives at different stages in the construction. Many of the photographs are stamped with "Fraser-Brace Maritimes Limited," the name of a construction company. The photographs were taken by Maurice Crosby Photography Ltd. and Wamboldt-Waterfield Photography Limited.

Photographs of the Juba'lee concert

File contains photographs of the "Juba'Lee" concert. The choir was accompanied by Symphony Nova Scotia and proceeds went towards establishing a Black Cultural Society scholarship for education in the performing arts. The concert was held at the Halifax Metro Centre on January 22, 2000.

File contains 68 photographs taken largely by Bill Freedman (but also by Sweeney) at Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 2000. Photographs show aerial and up-close examples of the destruction wrought on the urban park by the invasive Brown spruce longhorn beetle, believed to arrive in the city via the nearby port.

The building houses the Civil Engineering department, Canadian Institute of Fisheries Technology and the Centre for Water Resources Studies). It was designed by C. St. John Wilson and constructed by Fundy Construction Company between 1950 and 1951.
