Materials were located in the Agricola Archives, donated from various people in the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing before 2007 (Accession numbers A2015-010 ; A2015-011 ; A2016-070 ; A2017-036 ; A2017-047, A2019-007, A2023-032).

Scope and content

Fonds contains some of the policies of Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing in 1996, correspondence from department staff from 1907 and 1972. There are Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing scrapbooks of clippings of agricultural activity in Nova Scotia from 1900 to 1949. Entries include pencil drawings of animals and plants, newspaper clippings, as well as agricultural events around Nova Scotia from the NS Dept. of Agriculture annual reports. Scrapbooks also include pictures of Nova Scotia Agricultural College buildings, animal breeds, and events on campus. There are also annual reports of various departments of the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, and transcripts for Garden Guide Radio from 1980-1998.
