Diplomas for Alexander Ross

Folder consists of Alexander Ross's Grammar School diploma from the Provincial Normal School, 1864, stating that he is able to be a grammar school teacher; Province of Nova Scotia examination certificate stating that he passed the provincial exams in March 1867; and the College of Dalhousie diploma awarding Alexander Ross a Bachelor's of Arts degree.

File contains one mounted photograph of schoolchildren taught by H.E. (Harold Edwin) Killam (1878-1957) when he was 16 years old. Killam is seated in the centre of the photograph. The children of varying ages are posed for a group shot, and the photograph is taken outside.

Two books are labelled "Mr. Goldmark Harmony Book," in reference to her harmony teacher in New York, Rubin Goldmark. Another book includes an inserted repertoire list of piano compositions, composers, and times, presumably related to her piano lessons with Rafael Joseffy.

Each page includes printed technical excercises and blank staff lines with some additions handwritten in pencil, presumably by Jonas or Ballon. The book includes a repertoire list of pieces Ballon performed in 1918-1919.
