Fonds consists of a draft typescript of Baird's "Doctor Archibald MacMechan: An Estimate and an Appreciation," commissioned by The Halifax Chronicle for their 1923 New Year's edition and withdrawn at Archibald MacMechan's request. Also present are three letters from MacMechan concerning the article and a later letter from Stanley MacKenzie regarding an essay by Baird rejected by The Dalhousie Review.

This fonds consists of material created by or accumulated by George V.V. Nicholls. Records include correspondence, Nicholls and Van Vliet family estates and wills, course material from classes taught by Nicholls at Dalhousie’s Law School and Queen’s University, meeting minutes from professional associations, Dalhousie and community committees and clubs that Nicholls was involved with, some photographs and drafts and published legal journal articles and essays written by Nicholls.

Fonds consists of papers created and/or accumulated by Catherine Creighton and her family, including those of her husband Graham and children Edith, Anna, Lois, Frieda, and Howard. While the fonds includes correspondence from Wilfred Creighton to his siblings and parents, Wilfred's papers are not included as a sous-fonds within the fonds.

The bulk of the fonds consists of correspondence from family and friends, but also includes diaries, photographs, financial papers, personal papers, memorabilia, print materials, scrapbooks, articles, and artwork. Records in the fonds provide a well-rounded depiction of the family's daily activities and lives - from their relationships with each other, their extended family, and their community, to their financial status, values, education, and careers.

Items include a glass plate etching of McCulloch, microfilm copies of his books, a sample of his shorthand, a ticket to a lecture given by McCulloch, and correspondence. The collection also includes a microform copy of a thesis written by a Dalhousie student about McCulloch.

Budge Wilson's tributes to Margaret Laurence

File contains a copy of Budge Wilson's memorial talk for Margaret Laurence, delivered at Trent University on February 2, 1987 and later published in the Canadian Woman Studies journal. The file also contains a copy of the program from Wilson's memorial tribute and a copy of an article on Budge Wilson's address at the Halifax Main Library on Margaret Laurence.
