Item is adapted from a publication by the same name prepared and distributed by the Farmer Cooperative Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture. It's about parliamentary practice and cooperative societies meetings.
Item is a 1943 Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and Marketing organizational chart. The number of employees as at December 1, 1943 exclusive of seasonal staffs was 114. Note when one individual held more than one position it was indicated by like numbers. This pertains mainly to staff who worked for the Department and were teaching at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College.
Item is a photograph of a wool mural at the historic Barrington woollen [woolen] mill, N.S.. This mural was crafted in the early 1950's by Mrs. Murray and personnel of the provincial handcrafts department, for the Nova Scotia Exhibition in Truro. It was to demonstrate and encourage the use of Nova Scotian wool. The early settlers and some geographical features of the province are depicted. A tartan kilt was designed for the shepherd shown in the Cape Breton Highlands; this was the first public appearance of the now well known Nova Scotia Tartan.
