In part 1 (7 min., 37 sec.), David Gillies, the policy coordinator for the International Centre for Human Rights in Ottawa, spoke about government policy towards humanitarian intervention. In part 2 (8 min., 18 sec.), Jani Maston spoke about her experiences as a relief worker in Somalia and the operations of the United Nations peacekeeping force there. In part 3 (14 min., 13 sec.), Tim Shaw, professors of political science at Dalhousie University, spoke about the political and economic issues involved in the intervention in Somalia and the former Yugoslavia.
