Peterson was one of the organisers of a vigil held at the Halifax Library in solidarity with Croatian and Serbian "Women in Black," a movement that protests the rape of over 20,000 women and children in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The vigil was also held in protest of the ARMX fair in Ottawa. Peterson and Smyth spoke with CKDU's Sara Shields about the vigil.
