Fonds consists of newsletters and poetry publications from 1971-1979. Most of the publications feature poetry written by Velma Brown, but a number of other authors are also featured, including Sidney M. Parker, known as the blind poet of Truro, Nova Scotia.
File contains an annotated draft of Budge Wilson's second book in the Izzie series, "Trongate Fury." The file also contains a copy of a letter from Wilson to Penguin publishers about the manuscript.
File contains a brochure created in 1920 by the Dalhousie Campaign Committee. The brochure presents architect Andrew Cobb's campus master plan known as the "vision of Dalhousie." The brochure presents the original Dalhousie College building on Grand Parade as the "First Dalhousie" and the newly constructed Forrest Building as the "Second Dalhousie."
Fonds was organized by the processing archivist into editorial, financial, production and administrative series, and further sub-series such as correspondence, reports and meeting minutes. The bulk of correspondence dates from the 1970s-1990s, although there are financial and committee records from the 1950s and limited other records from the journal's inception in 1921.
Fonds comprises records related to Susan Sherwin's professional activities, including publication, research and teaching. Record types include correspondence, contracts, manuscripts, research materials and notes, committee materials, reports, conference materials, and university course records such as syllabi, exams, and assignments.
Series contains a collection of Brian Hall's reference cards used for citations. Materials include two sharp card sorters used for cohesively organising and finding individual groups of cards. There are approximately 20 000 reference cards. The cards deal with a variety of scientific topics, including but not limited to: the effects of mechanical stress on cartilage in vitro; a clinical overview of neurofibramitosis; and the growth of the facial skeleton in the hominoidea. The card sorters are located in Box 6.
Series contains materials regarding Brian Hall's publications. Materials include figures and original visuals for various publications, as well as reviews and correspondence about Hall's books.
Fonds contains records documenting the creation and management of Pottersfield Press from its inception in 1978. These include administrative documents such as grant and funding applications and author contracts; correspondence between the managing editor and authors, readers, contract editors and others; editorial records including manuscripts and page proofs; and publicity materials such as catalogues and book reviews.
File contains a copy of the Pottersfield Press catalogue for Spring 1994, which includes an advertisement for Budge Wilson's book "Cassandra's Driftwood."
File is a black and white reproduction of a photograph of the bust of Thomas Wakley made to commemorate him as founder of The Lancet. Note attached to mounting reads: Thomas Wakley (1795-1862): Founder and first Editor of the Lancet: Member of Parliament for Finsbury: and Coroner for West Middlesex.

File contains two copies of a booklet called Dalhousie University, which was produced by the Dalhousie Million Committee as promotional literature supporting the university's 1920 Million Dollar Campaign. The booklet, subtitled "Dalhousie, past, present and the future," outlines the university's accomplishments and plans and spells out the financial costs of fulfilling its vision. The booklet's illustrations of historic and contemporary Dalhousie people and buildings were drawn by Arthur Lismer and commissioned for a commemorative history of of the university published the same year.
One copy of the booklet contains a newspaper clipping about Frank Darling.
File contains one copy of One hundred years of Dalhousie, 1818-1918, the commemorative publication put out by the university's centenary committee, and a scrapbook containing newspaper clippings abut the centenary events.
