Subseries consists of handwritten and typescript drafts of Budge Wilson's prequel to L.M. Montgomery's series featuring Anne of Green Gables. Subseries also contains various research notes pertaining to the book.

Subseries consists of handwritten and typescript drafts of short stories included in Budge Wilson's anthology "Fractures: Family Stories." The short stories included in this anthology are as follows: "Like a water lily," "Two diaries," "Fathers," "Dreams," "Confusion," "Crybaby," "Mr. Manuel Jenkins," "My War," "Brothers and Sisters," "Carlotta's Search," "Mothers," and "The Metaphor."

Friendships

Subseries consists of handwritten and typescript drafts of Budge Wilson's short stories that were included in her anthology "Friendships: Stories." The twelve short stories included in this book are as follows: "Snake"; "Bruno"; "Justice"; "Music Festival"; "My Heroine, Murphy Brown"; "Escape Route"; "Fear"; "Poem"; "Father by Mail"; "Lillian"; "Big Little Jerome"; and "Maid of Honor."

Izzie : the Christmas that almost wasn't

Subseries contains handwritten and typescript drafts of the first book in Budge Wilson's Izzie series, "The Christmas that Almost Wasn't." The book was originally titled "The Christmas of the Big Blow."

Mothers and other strangers

Subseries contains a copy-edited draft of Budge Wilson's short story anthology "Mothers and other Strangers" and a copy-edited draft of one of the short stories that it contained, "The Listener." Most of the short stories in this anthology also appeared in other anthologies: "The Listener," "Loretta and Alexander," "Elliot's Daughter," "Just Give Me a Little more Time," "Mrs. Macintosh," "The House on High Street," "Birds, Horses, and Muffins," "The Diary," "Mrs. Garibaldi and Leonardo," and "The Reunion."

Correspondence

Subseries consists of correspondence with members of the ICOD (Board of Directors and ICOD president, Gary Vernon), politicians, and other stakeholders concerning meetings, administrative details (e.g. funding), and project proposals. Some files include documents such as reports, papers, and resumes.

Publications, drafts, and reports

Subseries consists of copies of papers presented at Pacem in Maribus conferences, reports submitted after conferences, compilations of conference papers, and official addresses and publications such as study project reports and conference proceedings for given conferences. Also included are press releases and other promotional materials.

SPSS manual

SPSS Statistics is a software package used for statistical analysis. SPSS is among the most widely used programs for statistical analysis in social science. The following tapes are numbered, but not in the same way the rest of the tapes were. They cover the SPSS manual and run from tape number 1-19.

M.V. Kipawo

Subseries contains records related to the historic ferry, the M.V. Kipawo, which ran between Kingsport, Parrsboro and Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and was restored in the hopes of using her as a floating cultural centre.

Home

Series contains records related to the play Home by Colleen Wagner. The play is the story of an aging man, Toomas, exiled from his homeland, who through repatriation efforts, can now return and reclaim his home and property. However, fifty-five years have passed and the home has been inhabited by three women, who, though caught in the shifting tides of a new world of globalization, find themselves threatened with expulsion when Toomas and his son, Wendall, return to reclaim the land and house. The women who have lived in this adopted country and in this house for so long, feel suddenly rootless. Home premiered at the Busstop Theatre, Halifax, NS, February 2010 and was directed by Mary Vingoe and starred John Beale, David Hughes, Sarah English, Mary-Colin Chisholm and Karen Bassett.

Report of the goal-setting study social services manpower project

The "Final Report of the Goal-Setting Study Social Services Manpower Project", by Rick William and Nils Kuusisto, Halifax, Nova Scotia, 5 June 1980 is a report which had the primary purpose of developing an overall sense of the economic conditions and policy trends which have shaped the social services delivery through the 1970's, and which will determine directions and conditions for social policy development in the Atlantic Region for the 1980's.

Joan Cummings assisted in the creation of this report, and data from this project was used in other of her reports.

NEEDS project: networking for effective and efficient disability services

The NEEDS Project was sponsored by the Maritime School of Social Work, the Metro Resource Centre for Independent Living and the Nova Scotia Disabled Persons Commission. The project involved the forming of an advisory committee of various members of the community and hosting two workshops to discuss and get feedback on the issues, the final result was a report on the project presented by Joan Cummings who served as the project director. Included in this series is correspondence, drafts of reports, workshop materials, budget information and a copy of the final NEEDS Project report.
