Series consists of Judge Peter O'Hearn's records regarding his professional activities and studies on the practice and procedure of law, including regarding the Judicature Act, the rules of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, and other topics. Series contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, typescripts, and other textual records.

Learning about AIDS

Series contains audio reels from the CKDU radio 88.1 program Learning About AIDS. This is a two part program prepared by CKDU's city reporter, Donna Mayer, and outlines the dangers of AIDS, safe sex, and the hysteria and discrimination that revolves around it. The series was run for the first time in January of an unknown year.

Leather community materials

Series contains materials collected by Al Stewart as part of his involvement with the Halifax-based TightRope leather brotherhood, which was established in the early 1990s, incorporated in 1997, and disbanded in 2007. Series also contains materials related to the Mr. Atlantic Canada Leather [MACLeather] organization, which operated between 1999-2010, and the leather community more broadly. Materials include TightRope administrative and financial records, correspondence, and promotional materials; event cards, flyers, posters, programs, and certificates of participation for TightRope events, MACLeather contests, and leather events across Canada and the United States; photographs of TightRope meet-ups, MACLeather contests, and other leather community events; web print-outs; issues of the Phalia newsletter published by Spearhead leather and denim club in Toronto; erotic gear catalogues; and one copy of the 2002 Men of Pumpjack calendar.

Lectures and class notes

Series contains materials regarding Brian Hall's lectures and class notes. Written materials include handwritten and typed notes, lecture outlines, annotated articles, crib sheets for tests, and overhead slides with figures.

Lesbian Gay Bisexual Youth Project

Series contains materials related to the operations of the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Youth Project, a community support group founded in Halifax in 1993. The Youth Project is a community space that provides free counselling, leadership opportunities, and other supports for members of the LGBTQ+ community under the age of 25. Materials include retreat planning materials, budgets, meeting notes, educational resources, reports, policies and procedures documents, correspondence, and clippings.

Leslie E. Haley's records regarding the Gambia project

Series consists of Leslie E. Haley's materials regarding his involvement in the Gambia project, Dalhousie University's Gambia College Development Program. Series includes a financial statement, legal release forms, event programmes, correspondence, and other textual records.

Series consists of Leslie E. Haley's materials regarding his involvement with the Summer Science Institute project. Series includes vouchers, a list of contracts, invoices, a list of candidates and research projects, reports, and other textual records. For an unknown reason, this project was referred to in the records by different names, including the Summer Science Institute, Emerging Technology Institute, Summer Science Institute for Teachers, Emerging Technology Summer Institute, and Emerging Technology Summer School.

LGBT pins and apparel

Series contains pins and other apparel produced for LGBT events such as Halifax pride, or featuring pro-LGBT messages. Items in this series were collected and worn by members of Lesbian and Gay Rights Nova Scotia [LGRNS].

Living After Diagnosis

Series contains audio reels from the CKDU radio 88.1 program Living After Diagnosis. This program is a multi-part series on living with AIDS, which aired once a month on CKDU radio.

Marginal Work World Research Program

Series comprises records created and collected by Richard Apostle documenting his work in the Marginal Work World Research Program, an interdisciplinary and long-term examination of employment and work settings in the Maritime provinces carried out through the Institute of Public Affairs, Dalhousie University. Richard Apostle's research focused on two projects: the General Segmentation Survey, which involved the collection and analysis of private sector employment data across the Maritimes; and the longitudinal Morphology Survey, which sampled low-wage establishments across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, and included managerial personnel and employee interviews. Record types include secondary readings and notes; datasets; agreements; recorded interview and transcripts; manuscripts and published papers; meeting records; and correspondence and memoranda.

No Time for Humour

Series contains audio reels from the CKDU radio 88.1 program No Time for Humour, a half hour long comedy show that ran from 1984 to 1987. It contained original content written and produced by the Seal Cub.

Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project [NSRAP]

Series contains materials documenting the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project administrative activities, research and advocacy work. Records pertain to NSRAP's advocacy work for transgender Nova Scotians, participation in the Halifax Rainbow Health Project, and research and advocacy work related to gay men's health and HIV/AIDS. Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project

Oral history

Series consists of seven audio cassettes and textual records. The audio cassettes are oral history field recordings on the Jos Plateau recorded by James Morrison. The textual records are from Atlantic oral history association's conference hosted by James Morrison in Truro.

Series contains two subseries: Audio cassettes, and Atlantic oral history association.

Outlook

Series contains audio reels from the CKDU radio program, Outlook. This series features interviews with Halifax residents and Dalhousie professors on religious topics. The host in 1988 was John Cairncross.

Pamphlets and outreach materials

Series contains duplicate pamphlets and outreach materials from fonds in the Nova Scotia LGBT Seniors Archive. Materials in series include anti-discrimination pamphlets produced by Lesbian and Gay Rights Nova Scotia [LGRNS], and pamphlets produced by Churchmembers Assembled to Respond to AIDS [CARAS].

Pauline E. Hillis' records

Series consists of materials regarding the Pauline E. Hillis' student life, including notebooks, books, and others textual records. Series also contains negatives and photographs of Pauline E. Hillis with friends, and of Eric Stanley Hillis, son of James Stanley and Pauline E. Hillis, at the age of 5.

Series contains materials created by Budge Wilson that not directly related to her career as an author. Files include Budge Wilson's diaries and calendars and materials relating to her job as a fitness instructor and photographer.

Leather] contests, other LGBT events in Halifax and Montreal, LGBT films, and posters and acetate negatives of posters for events held at Rumours, a bar owned and operated by the Gay and Lesbian Association of Nova Scotia [GALA].

Posters

Series contains posters for concerts by the Halifax Camerata Singers, including those performed with various guest artists and ensembles, including several collaborations with Symphony Nova Scotia. Most of the concerts took place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with some elsewhere in Nova Scotia, and in Prince Edward Island and Alberta.
