They are posing in front of stones laid at the naming ceremonies of buildings on campus. There are also people in front of building plans, receiving silver places with Cumming Hall engraved on them, and sitting in excavators breaking ground on campus.

This photograph of the second brewery on this location, and like its predecessor was also destroyed by fire in 1895. The third brewery built on this location was destroyed in the Halifax Explosion. The vessel show in this photograph was called the "Gambrinus". This photograph was removed from it's frame and included in the fonds.
