Records in fonds document Fougere's work as coordinator of the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project [NSRAP], including NSRAP's participation in the Halifax Rainbow Health Project and its health care advocacy work on behalf of transgender Nova Scotians. Materials also document Fougere's roles as board member at Safe Harbour Metropolitan Community Church, and facilitator the Lesbian Gay and Bisexual Youth Project support group. Item is a minute book kept during the meetings of the Medical Relief Committee of Dartmouth. The committee met regularly in late 1917-1918 to discuss the care of Dartmouth patients following the 1917 Halifax Explosion. The book, which was kept by Dr. M.G. Burris, details meetings and efforts to coordinate with the relief activities with the Medical Relief Committee of Halifax. Burris added two pages of notes in June 1944 with information about committee members, the Dartmouth hospitals managed by the committee, and remunerations paid to physicians by the Medical Relief Committee.
Fonds consists of a Women's Missionary Society treasurer's book (1928-1933), an historical sketch of the church during the years 1853-1953, Calendar Club account books (1926-1928 and 1929-1933); and a Ladies’ Aid minute book (1929-1934).
Collection is comprised of materials collected by Don Murchy as part of his involvement with the TightRope Leather Brotherhood, a men's leather and denim club that operated in Nova Scotia from the early 1990s to 2007. Materials document TightRope operations, as well as the involvement of TightRope members in Mr. Atlantic Canada [M.A.C.] Leather contests and Halifax Fetish Ball events. Materials in this collection include administrative records, by-laws and guiding documents, membership lists, posters and other promotional materials, and photographs.
The Archives of the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia consists of records created by the administration, members, and affiliates of the Federation. It includes a wide variety of materials including administrative records, audio/visual material, correspondence, financial records, meeting agendas and minutes for a variety of groups and committees, photographs, promotional and press material. The records refer to the adminstration and functions of the Federation, as well as its relationships with its members, government departments, and other writing, publishing and cultural groups.
