Nova Scotia Agricultural College satirical theater script

File contains a satirical script (ca. 1971) for a play focused on student life, the academic calendar, and social interests of the day at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. Topics include College Royal, sheep management, etc. It includes a list of actors: R. W. Hounsell (potentially NSAC faculty circa 1960s?); Ray Porth (NSAC Biology Faculty 1970-1980); J.S. (John) Bubar (NSAC Class ’50, and Plant Science faculty); Stuart Smith (NSAC Faculty 1964 to 1991; Len Eaton (NSAC Professor of Biology circa 1970’s and 1980’s (?); and, Gordon Delaney.

Early draft manuscript of Pukka Sahib

Item consists of an early draft manuscript of the humorous skit "Pukka Sahib", written by David Murray sometime in the 1940s. This version of the manuscript contains spelling mistakes with corrections in pencil, as well as some abbreviations contained in the stage directions and character names.

Later draft manuscript of Pukka Sahib

Item consists of a later draft manuscript of the humorous skit "Pukka Sahib" written by David Murray sometime in the 1940s. This version of the script corrects earlier spelling mistakes, and slightly alters stage directions and text of the skit from previous versions. Also includes a carbon-copied version of the same script.

Harriette Richardson : a one act play, by Andrew Merkel : [manuscripts]

File contains four manuscript copies of a one-act play by Andrew Merkel titled variously "Harriet Richardson" and "Mrs. Richardson Wins." The latter version contains hand-written edits that appear in the both copies titled "Harriet Richardson." One manuscript lists the author as "Marc Lescarbot" and is two pages longer than the others. The copy typed on legal-sized onion skin paper contains a note that the play was originally presented at the Community Centre, Annapolis Royal, on 5th June 1947. There is also a short note critiquing the play.
