Item is lecture one of University of the Air's "Structures of Sound" series, recorded on September 8, 1979 for broadcast on CJCH-TV. The episode was presented by Dr. Walter Kemp, chairman of the Department of Music at Dalhousie University, and pianist and professor Lynn Stodola. Production staff included Linda Moore, production assistant; John Silver, technical producer; Cy True, director and producer; and Nancy Fraser, national coordinator.

Textual records

Series contains records accumulated and created by Sheila Piercey when she was a student at Dalhousie University and while teaching voice in the Dalhousie Department of Music. Materials include teaching records and various programs from the Dalhousie Glee and Dramatic Society, Dalhousie Tigers, graduation recitals, noon-hour recitals, festivals, opera workshops, and other performances produced by the Dalhousie Department of Music.

Rogers, Frank La Forge, Arthur Foote, Arthur Rubenstein, Walter Scott, Johann Strauss, and Edward W. Bryant.

Tenor sax (reed 2) parts for Campin' Out record release tour

File includes tenor sax (reed 2) parts for music performed during Paul Cram Orchestra's second Canadian Tour, which included concerts at the Marquee Club, Halifax; the National Library of Canada, Ottawa; the Guelph Jazz Festival; Western Front, Vancouver, Meduse Arts Centre, Quebec City; and Cafe Espagnole, Montreal. Fonds consists of records created by Symphony Nova Scotia in the course of its regular business activities. The majority of the records were created during the process of concert-planning, including special concerts, annual concerts, tours, and concert series. These records include artist contracts, marketing and development documents, internal memos, and correspondence with artists and sponsors.

Records also consist of internal management records, including personnel records, office management files, and the files of the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and Chief Executive Officer. The financial administration of the Symphony is documented though budgets, statements, ledgers, and tickets sales data.

The fonds also contains concert programs and promotional material such as posters, advertisements, flyers, newsletters, and other publications. The final section of the fonds consists of audiovisual and graphic material. There are audio recordings of performances and interviews of Symphony personnel as well as video recordings of advertisements and performances. The graphic material includes promotional photographs and photographs of the orchestra.
