Collection contains duplicate materials from fonds in the Nova Scotia LGBT Seniors Archive. Materials in collection include posters; programs, flyers, and promotional materials; pamphlets and outreach materials; and wearable ephemera including buttons and pins, badges, medals, clothing, and other regalia. Materials in series relate to Halifax Pride and other pride celebrations, political demonstrations, Lesbian and Gay Rights Nova Scotia [LGRNS] operations and events, Halifax Fetish Ball and Mr. Atlantic Canada [M.A.C.] Leather events, Gay and Lesbian Association [GALA] meetings and operations, events held at Rumours bar, LGBT films, and other LGBT causes and events.
File contains promotional flyers, pamphlets, and a members training program for the Lesbian Information Line in Vancouver. File also contains one business card for Lesbian and Feminist Mothers Political Action Group, and two note cards containing information of other LGBT services.
Item is a cream swallow-tailed gonfalon flag with two diagonal lavender stripes. The flag was used in demonstrations and marches organized by the Gay and Lesbian Association.
Item is a tie-dyed banner created or collected by the Gay and Lesbian Association (GALA) with handwritten text in felt marker that reads: "In Memoriam—Killed by Nazis—Killed by AIDS—Killed by Halifax—QUEER BASHERS," with tombstones drawn next to each displaying those years during which members of the LGBT community were killed.
File contains GayLine volunteer application form and information sheet for volunteers, a press release celebrating GayLine's 20th anniversary, one blank call sheet, one list of GayLines across Canada, and correspondence from a GayLine caller.
Series contains reference materials used by volunteers of the GayLine. Series is divided into two subseries. The first sub-series contains reference and educational materials used by GayLine volunteers covering issues such as homosexuality and coming out, sexual heath and AIDS prevention, alcoholism and substance abuse, abuse in LGBT relationships, parenting, discrimination, legal rights, and women's issues. Materials include pamphlets, flyers, legal briefs and resources, newsletters, essays, and bibliographies. The second subseries contains reference materials relating to the operations of other helplines, as well as information about LGBT businesses and services, community groups, and events in Halifax, across Canada, and in the United States, Europe, Mexico, and Oceania. Materials include advertisements and press releases, pamphlets, newsletters, flyers, information sheets, and directories.
Series contains materials used in the recruitment and training of GayLine volunteers. Materials include training session records and schedules; help line manuals and crisis intervention strategies; GayLine pamphlets; volunteer application forms, information sheets, and guidelines; and correspondence relating to volunteers.
File contains one copy each of the 1983 and 1993 guidelines for GayLine volunteers. File also includes three copies of a 1993 pamphlet advertising the Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Line's services.
Series contains administrative records for the GayLine, established in 1972. GayLine was renamed to the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Line in 1994. Materials in this series include GayLine monthly and annual reports; call logs and templates; staff notebooks; correspondence; memos, minutes, and a certificate of incorporation relating to the name change; and notes.
File contains one copy of the 1992-1993 Gayellow Pages: The National Edition, which provides a directory to LGBT services in Canada and the United States.
File contains two press releases from the Gay Fathers of Toronto; one advertising their book Gay Fathers : Some of Their Stories, Experience, and Advice; and another advertising the launch of its phoneline services on 1984-02-01.

Series contains one subseries of posters (and negatives) for events held at Rumours, a bar owned and operated by GALA, and another subseries of banners and flags used during Pride marches, demonstrations, and GALA meetings.
Item is a poster advertising the 1992 GALA general meeting on May 6, featuring a report presented by Jane Kansas on GALA's role in Canada's position papers at the UN International Human Rights Conference.
File contains two information sheets regarding the operations of the Gay Alliance for Equality (GAE) and its association with the GayLine, one pamphlet regarding the Gay and Lesbian Association's funding issues, and one drop-in nite event pamphlet.
