The booklet, subtitled "Dalhousie, past, present and the future," outlines the university's accomplishments and plans and spells out the financial costs of fulfilling its vision. The booklet's illustrations of historic and contemporary Dalhousie people and buildings were drawn by Arthur Lismer and commissioned for a commemorative history of of the university published the same year.
