Barbara Blauvelt : [interview]

Item is a videocassette of an interview with Barbara Blauvelt, the secretary of the Dalhousie Medical School for 1950-2000. This interview was part of a series of interviews with alumni, "Dalhousie Medical School Remembered." The interviews were conducted in the interviewees' homes, with a few exceptions. The interviews discuss each doctor's memories of attending or teaching at the School, how the School has changed, and impressions of how the medical field has changed over the years. The video was requested by Dr. T.J. Murray from the Dean's Office.

Item consists of a typescript copy of Carleton Stanley's address Boston-based alumni from Dalhousie University, at the Hotel Westminster on April 12, 1934, addressing the difficulties of constructing a university budget during times of economic upheaval, what programs grants and alumni donations have aided at Dalhousie, as well as the threats posed by wars which "pend and threaten".

File contains a triangular piece of yellow cardboard with a 'character study' of Dalhousie student Mary Caroline Hawkins. There are two Greek letters printed at the top of the card: Delta Gamma. This card is presumed to be related to the Delta Gamma Society, a women's society at Dalhousie University.

Christmas cards, invitations, and other material from Dalhousie reunions

File contains two copies of a Christmas card from the officers of the Dalhousie University class of 1927; an invitation to a social event hosted by the graduates of the maritime universities; a dance card and tickets from a Dalhousie reunion ball; a handbook from a Dalhousie reunion; a program and menu from a Dalhousie reunion banquet; and a program from a Dalhousie reunion. Most of the items are from reunions in 1938.
