File contains a seven page handwritten memoranda from a deed of settlement of the Bank of British North America (May 28, 1836). The deed of settlement was negotiated for the purpose of establishing banks in the British colonies of North America. File also contains four blank forms for transferring shares.
File comprises four letters sent from Fred Thompson to John Bell between July and October, 1976. The letters provide a recounting of Thompson's time in Halifax as a labourer and labour activist and reveal an ongoing discussion between Bell and Thompson regarding labour issues and labour history.

File contains three letters from Reverend James Rosborough to Mrs. Pearson, in which he describes the death of his daughter, identifies plant specimens sent to him by her, and discusses matters related to the Presbyterian Church.

Files contains Frank McMahon's registration tickets for the Halifax Medical College (Dalhousie College and University Medical Faculty) and his attendance/examination cards for Anatomy, Materia Medica, Practical Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Botany, and Chemistry. The cards are printed on coloured heavy card and are held in a small black leather-bound folder. Cards are variously signed by John Forrest, A.W.H. Lindsay, D.A. Campbell, Arthur Morrow, John Somers, George L. Sinclair, and others. The back of one card contains a note from A.W.H. Lindsay about dissections.
File contains 15 drawings of the ceremonial mace designed in 1949 by Chasteney Holbourne Saunders, former head of the Department of Anatomy. The mace was carved in oak, decorated with silver and enamel, and measured 1.4 metres in length. First used in the 1950 convocation, the mace was retired in 1919 when the university introduced the "New Dawn Staff of Place and Belonging" as its ceremonial object.
There is one full-scale drawing in ink and three reduced reproductions mounted on board. The remainder are rough sketches and detail drawings in pencil of the emblems and figures that Saunders employed to represent maritime traditions and the historical significance of Dalhousie’s service to the Atlantic provinces.
File consists of correspondence to Harvey from Dr. A. MacMechan and his wife, a recommendation letter from MacMechan to Edwin Laftus, and a letter from George W. Robinson to Dr. MacMechan.

The letters describe the content of film images available for use by seminarians in illustrated lectures.

The second letter was written in 1911 to Mrs. J. Ross Smith in Amherst, Nova Scotia thanking her for an earlier correspondence regarding election results.
