File is an audio reel with four untitled instrumental sound recordings by Jarvis and Louis Benoit. The recordings were made at Solar Audio Recording Studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia in August 1978. File also contains a track sheet which indicates that twelve of the twenty-four available tracks were used in the recording session. The reel is unique in that all four recordings begin at 0:00. "Song 1" features two guitars and a fiddle on tracks 14-16. "Song 2" features two guitars and a fiddle on tracks 9-11. "Song 3, take 1" features a guitar and fiddle on tracks 5-6. "Song 3, take 2" features a guitar and fiddle on tracks 3-4. "Song 4" features a guitar and fiddle on tracks 19-20.

Most recordings are on audio reels; series includes two audio cassettes of a radio play featuring Pedersen's music. Recordings include several made for radio or television broadcast.

Series contains sound recordings of Sheila Piercey's opera performances, dress rehearsals, auditions, practice sessions, radio broadcast, as well as concert and recital performances with the Canadian Opera Company (COC). Most recordings are on audio reels and cassette tapes.

Soul alone

File contains original and annotated copies of set designs for Neptune Theatre's production of "Soul Alone," directed by Anthony Black and designed by Corey Mullins. Eleanor Creelman was the technical director. The designs are drawn to scales of 1/2" = 1' and 1" = 1'. The file includes a colour drawing of one of the props, a set of double doors.

File contains a manuscript that won the 24th Atlantic Writing Competition award for unpublished novels. Ian Colford's competitions pseudonym (Packard Bell) appears on the title page. File also includes two reviews and a letter from Jane Buss, the executive director of the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia, announcing the winner.

File is an audio reel containing an episode of Title Waves. This episode features Dalhousie University Spanish professor Sonia Jones and her book It all Began with Daisy (1987). The episode was recorded July 21, 1987 and aired July 23, 1987; it was rebroadcast May 12, 1988 on The Evening Affair, CKDU's evening public radio program.

Item contains a CD created by Steve Heimbecker created while he was the Artist in Residence at Centre for Art Tapes in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The CD uses 4-channel surround sound to record sounds of Halifax. The CD also includes an interview that Heimbecker did with CBC Radio Halifax reporter Myfauny Daines, broadcast on March 23, 2001.

File contains an outline of the upcoming Songs of Home Recording project by the Halifax Camerata Singers and the responsibilities of the various committees supporting the project. The file also includes a copy of Bertrum MacDonald's questionnaire indicating his interest in the committees and suggestions for the project.

File contains a poster for a concert by the Halifax Camerata Singers in collaboration with their Youth Mentoring Program. The concert was a benefit for the St. Patrick's Church Restoration Society and was held at St. Patrick's Church in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Song of the Maritimes : [sheet music]

File contains the sheet music for a piece for solo voice and piano accompaniment in C Major with words by Neil Herman of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and music by Forsyth de Fronsac of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The sheet music was self-published by Herman and Fronsac. The file also includes a note to Dr. Logan from "W.H.D." to review the sheet music enclosed.

Solar system / Paul Cram

Item is Paul Cram's facsimile score for saxophone quartet and tape, performed June 1984. The first page comprises program notes describing the composition as a variation on the Icarus myth; the second page is a schemata for between movements.
