Item consists of a photograph taken by Susan Perly, of Nolan Reilly, oral historian and one of the organizers of the First Roscoe Fillmore Memorial Picnic, addressing several dozen seated attendees at the Picnic, Sackville, Nova Scotia, July 1978. Reilly was conducting research related to class consciousness in Amherst for his doctoral degree at Dalhousie University around the time of the Picnic.

Item consists of a print and a newspaper clipping of a photograph of Mrs. James Sisk and Vice-President Donald McNeill looking at a portrait of Reverend John Forrest, third president of Dalhousie University. Mrs. Sisk is the granddaughter of George Munro, and the grand niece of John Forrest. Her father, Jacob Gould Schurman, was a professor of philosophy at Dalhousie in the 1880s before becoming president at Cornell University in 1892. Photograph was published in University News, September 8, 1972.
