Scope and content
Photograph of Anderson one of the student engineers conducting the tests, turns the winch that will lift the saucer-like antenna up the test tower. Cable running from the antenna connects it to complicated electronic equipment in a nearby truck where transmission is checked. Once the tentative site has been cleared -- most of them are located in dense brush -- a crew of Maritime Telephone and Telegraph Company technicians erect the tower and after tests are completed ina couple of days, dismantles it.
