MacDonald discusses her experiences travelling abroad before settling in rural Nova Scotia; her participation in LGBT events in Halifax, Pictou County, and the North Shore in the 1980s -1990s; her work in women's crisis centres; and the differences between urban and rural LGBT experiences.
