Item is a glass plate of a drawing of Rev. Thomas McCulloch, D.D. The drawing by Arthur Lismer itself is based on a painting of McCulloch by Daniel Munro. The drawing was commissioned and used for history books on Dalhousie University, like One hundred years of Dalhousie 1818-1918 (1920), and Daniel Cobb Harvey's, An introduction to the history of Dalhousie (1938).
Fonds consists of newsletters and poetry publications from 1971-1979. Most of the publications feature poetry written by Velma Brown, but a number of other authors are also featured, including Sidney M. Parker, known as the blind poet of Truro, Nova Scotia.
Fonds contains records created and collected by Andrew Merkel, including correspondence with friends and associates such as Charles Bruce, Kenneth Leslie, and Robert Norwood; manuscripts; newspaper clippings; and copies of The Song Fishermens’ Song Sheet and The Order of Good Cheer.
File contains two photographs, one of Norene Smiley, Jane Buss, Joyce Barkhouse, and Susan Kerslake at a residence on Elm Street in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, and the other of Susan Kerslake, Joyce Barkhouse, Budge Wilson, and Jane Buss at a residence on Tower Road in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
File consists of the hand-written speech of Budge Wilson given at the Hubbards Writer's Festival held in honour of Budge Wilson's writing accomplishments.
File contains incoming and copies of outgoing correspondence between Budge Wilson and Lindsay Brown, books editor for the Sunday Daily News and two drafts of Wilson's review of "Words Unrealized: Short Stories of Adolescence by Canadian Writers," edited by Andrew Garrod and Janet Webster (St. John's: Breakwater Press, 1991).
File contains materials relating to Budge Wilson's Christmas poem "Victor," which was written for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and broadcast on CBC radio and over the cbc4kids.ca website, with illustrations by Kevin Sylvester.
File contains an invitation for a fundraising event for the Nova Scotia Writers in the Schools Program, hosted by the Nova Scotia Children's Literature Roundtable and held at the University Club, Dalhousie University.
